While at New Blue Interactive I helped draft and send fundraising, action, and petition emails for candidates for office, state Democratic parties, and initiative campaigns. These are just a few of those emails! Please note that most of the emails do not contain the sender, in order to protect the confidentiality of New Blue’s client list.
The Nevada caucuses are exactly one month away! We need your help to make the first in the West caucuses a success.

Subject Lines: 43 more years! // Stand up for women’s health
Today is the 43rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Even after this historic case, some people want to deny a woman’s right to control her own healthcare. I have always supported women’s rights to access care, and I know you do too.
In 1973, the US Supreme Court ruled that women have the right to make their own healthcare decisions. No matter what the courts and public have said, some people want to take that right away. It’s up to us to make sure that does not happen.
Roe v. Wade has been the law of the land for 43 years. Add your name and say that you want it to be that way for 43 more years.
Subject Lines: i’m scared // enough is enough // broken gun laws
Right now if a violent criminal wants to buy a gun they can. Loopholes in our gun laws mean that thousands of people have bought guns, despite being on the terrorist watch list. It’s time to fix that.
It is estimated that 40 percent of guns in America are sold without a background check. We can’t afford to let this continue happening when our children and loved one’s lives are at risk.
Subject Lines: still scared // terrorists are buying guns // loopholes
I emailed you last week to tell you that loopholes in our gun laws mean violent criminals are able to access guns. And nothing has changed. Congress still won’t act, putting lives at risk.
Nearly 40 percent of guns in America are sold without a background check. People on the terrorist watch list are still allowed to buy guns. This has to stop.
Subject Lines: ten days left // no time
NAME, there are only ten days until the presidential primary.
This race couldn’t be tighter. States are declaring their caucuses and primaries as “historically close,” with razor thin margins between the candidates. Every vote counts, including yours.
Since we know how important your vote is, we wanted to make sure you knew where to get your voting information. This year, for the first time, you’ll need a photo ID to vote. To find out more, and to make sure your voter registration is up to date, head to myvote.wi.gov.
See you on primary day!
Subject Lines: anyone can get a gun // criminals
%%FIRSTNAME(Friend)%% — Right now, 40 percent of guns in America are sold without a background check. That means everyday abusers, criminals, and other bad people can buy a gun.
Our initiative in the fall will help solve this problem. But not enough Nevadans know about it. The caucuses are our biggest opportunity to talk to our neighbors about this important initiative. We have to make an impact at the caucuses.
Your support is needed to help make Nevada safer. We can’t do it without you.
Nevadans for Background Checks
Subject Lines: equal pay day // we’re equal today
NAME, do you know why we celebrate Equal Pay Day in April? Because it’s the day that women’s earnings catch up to men’s from the last year. That means that for the average woman, they had to work an extra three and a half months to make the same amount as their male coworkers did in the previous year.
I know that we need to act. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. Democrats want to fix this problem. We have solutions, like increased funding for wage negotiation training, but Republicans continue to block these efforts. Will you stand with me and demand Congress act on equal pay?
Three and a half months is not even the worst of it. African American Women’s Equal Pay Day isn’t until August, Native American Women’s Equal Pay Day is in September, and Latina Equal Pay Day is in October. Women continue to be undervalued and underpaid in the workplace.

Subject Lines: deportation force // the national guard??
During his campaign, President Trump promised to create a deportation force that would round up and deport undocumented immigrants. Now, it looks like he’s on his way to making that happen.
Just this morning, a leaked memo revealed that the Department of Homeland Security is considering using 100,000 National Guard troops as the president’s personal deportation force.
We can’t let that happen. Please, add your name, and tell the president that you oppose his deportation force.
This memo only confirms what we’ve known all along – President Trump is prioritizing harmful rhetoric over families and communities. He will continue to rip families apart, now with the assistance of a militarized deportation force.
